RUPES is a leading Italian manufacturer of high-quality electric and pneumatic tools, best known in the world of auto detailing for its innovative orbital and rotary polishers. Founded as a family-owned company in Milan in 1947, in 1951 they launched the world's first portable electric sander RUPES 123 “Stork”, which became an international hit. In 1962, they introduced the TP/PC drill with a technical polymer body, the first tool with a plastic body, which reduced weight and increased electrical insulation – a practice that later became standard. In 2008, they introduced a polishing machine with a 10 mm orbital motion, the LHR 150, larger than the standard 8 mm, and in 2010, the BigFoot revolution began with models like the LHR21ES, which offered a 15–21 mm orbit – a radical increase in productivity and polishing quality.Moving forward, in 2015, 2021, 2023, they opened a manufacturing/training facility in Louisville, Colorado, USA - for service and training in the American market, and later launched a manufacturing center in Houston, Texas (3700m²), specializing in consumables, introducing iBrid technology (dual power supply - battery and cable) with models such as the HLR75 iBrid Mini and HS Series.
